All-Over Crazing (Grease Jar): The jar features a fine network of hairline glaze crazing throughout. This "spiderweb" effect is a natural result of the glaze aging over 80 years and adds a wonderful, authentic patina that collectors look for in genuine Cameoware.
Aged Patina / Under-Glaze Discoloration (Platter): The platter shows areas of darkening beneath the glaze. This occurs when the porous ceramic body absorbs moisture and minerals over decades of use, creating a "time-worn" look that is a hallmark of well-loved antique kitchenware
